Employee Configurations

Using Bypass

This configuration is like flexi-time. Your shift starts when you time in. Your shift ends when you time out. This configuration is recommended for people who does not time in at regular intervals. This is also needed for employees that usually stays too long in the office or covers shift worth of 2 days. Shifts should still be defined to obtain the shift cycle and lunch break. Shift rules will however no longer apply.

Using Shifts without Bypass

This configuration is used for employees who time in and time out at regular intervals. This is strict and will have the following behavior:

  1. Even if employee goes in to work early, their time and attendance will start from the shift in.
  2. If employee is late, time starts based on their time in.
  3. Any excess hours found outside of their shift can be filed for overtime. (early OT or OT after shifting out)
  4. Shift late rules is configurable.

Bypass shift rule can be configured in employee class or employee information.
