Overview
This article outlines the recent updates to the payroll processing interface, specifically the renaming and revised functionality of the Simulate and Resimulate buttons, as well as the associated user role changes. These adjustments aim to streamline user understanding and improve system clarity.
1. Payroll Button (Previously "Simulate")
New Label:
Payroll
Previous Label: Simulate
Updated Functionality:
The Payroll button will now only perform a search for payroll results and redirect users to the payroll page.
It no longer performs payroll simulation or calculation.
User Experience:
When first accessing the payroll page, results will appear blank.
Users must now manually initiate payroll calculation via the Calculate button to populate data.
User Role Update:
Role previously labeled as
Simulate
has been renamed toPayroll
.
2. Calculate Button (Previously "Resimulate")
New Label:
Calculate
Previous Label: Resimulate
Updated Functionality:
Clicking the Calculate button initiates the payroll computation process.
A confirmation message will appear:
“Please wait a few seconds while the system is calculating payroll and refresh the page.”
Calculation in Progress:
If a payroll calculation is already ongoing, a warning message will be displayed:
“Calculation is still in progress. Please try again later.”

Important Notes
Users should expect an empty result when initially accessing the payroll page.
To populate data, the Calculate button must be used.
